(Freie) Improvisation (falls es so etwas wie „frei“ überhaupt gibt) hat in meiner Musik eine besondere Bedeutung. Hier spiele ich Alt- und Baritonsaxophon und verarbeite gleichzeitig die entstehenden Klänge mit meinem Notebook und zwar so, dass ich dabei in Echtzeit mit mir selbst interagieren kann – ich mag Überraschungen.

‚Saxophone \ notebook‘ is a first evaluation of my music – a snapshot of some very personal and musical changes and developments that I have been going through during the past three years. When recording the album I was mostly interested in (free) improvisation (if there is something like free). I played alto and baritone saxophone while processing their sounds using my laptop in a way enabling me to sort of ‚interact with myself‘ in real time. I like to suprise myself!

Das Album reflektiert meine emotionale und subjektive Sicht auf meine Familiengeschichte. Bedenkt man aber, wie wenig ich eigentlich über die Geschichten meiner Vorfahren weiß, ist es vielleicht „nur“ eine eingebildete Familiengeschichte. Trotzdem ist es meine.

My second solo album ‚remembrance‚ reflects my emotional view on my family history. Considering that I don’t know very much about the generations before me it might just be an imagined history but nevertheless it’s mine.
